Search - Set/Rarity

This set of options let you constrain on the card set, game format, and rarity of cards.

The game format lets you constrain the search to cards within a specific syle of WTOC™ game format. NOTE: game formats are dependent on the current date and set releases. The game format categorization for this database is done at the time card database is created, so the results may not be 100% current. Make sure you download the latest card databases from our web site if you want the most current game format categorization. Cards banned from any game format are removed as well. Restricted cards are not removed for search purposes.

Since cards can be published in more than one set, they can have more than one rarity. Also, the actual rarity of cards has varied over the years as WOTC™ has altered their publishing format. Each card in a set publication has been assigned one of the three basic rarities, using the best approximation available to us. If the rarity cannot be resolved, we chose 'common'. But, a card has one specific rarity in each set.

Note that if you search by rarity, you may see different rarities in the search results. The rarity displayed in the search results list is the least rarity for the card, across all sets it is in. For example, a search for rare Arabian Nights cards will produce City of Brass, but will be displayed with a rarity of uncommon: it was uncommon in Arabian nights, but rare in Revised.
