But, the total casting cost will be incorrect for search purposes (although displayed correctly). V 2.11, Feb. 8, 08: - Added MorningTide set (only card text, no rulings yet). A (r/w) cost will show up in searches for red and white cards. But, the actual casting cost in incorrectly assumed to be 'RW', so the software will think the card costs two mana. This error will remain in the program as is... this new mana costing is very unusual! V 1.23 Jun3 30, 05: - Updated restricted lists to latest updates (standard/2.0). V1.22 June 3, 05: - Added Saviors of Kamigawa set. V1.20, Oct. 2, 04: - Added Champions of Kamigawa card set. 'Flip cards' are represented ONLY by the main card. The flip card is inserted into the card text body. This is different from split cards, which are both represented in the database by their own card name. - Implemented the new tournament format changes for 1.5 and Extended (effective Sept. 20, 2004). - Version 1.20 and higher is required to read any database dated on and after 2004_10_02. V1.15, May 31, 04: - Added Fifth Dawn MTG card set support. V 1.14, Mar 07, 04: - Fixed a small bug where the temporary static registration code that is initially provided after users register, would not work if the application had been installed for more than two weeks. V 1.13, Feb. 28, 04: - Fixed a bug where installing Magic Scout on a machine with less than version 4.01 of the palm Desktop/HotSync Manager, would cause a DLL fault at the end of the installation. V 1.12, Feb. 24, 04: - Fixed a bug where tapping Search from the 'Set' search dialog would result in no search results and returning to the main view. - Added an 'Add' button to thw Words 'W' word list dialog. Use it to add multiple words at once to the text search field. - Fixed a bug where the search results would not be displayed if you entered invalid search characters (it generated a warning then returned to the main view). - Fixed some minor date display problems in the Version Info dialog. V 1.11, Feb. 10, 04: - Fixed a bad bug where installing anywhere but the default install directory would cause the generator to fail with a bad error. V1.10 Feb. 10, 04: - Fixed bug where the Card Info menu item still worked (incorrectly) when not viewing a card document (such as a rules document). - Made 'File->Exit' menu item work in the Magic Scout Generator program. - The choices in the 'Database Installation Locations' dialogs are now saved and restored when you return to the Magic Scout Generator later on. A 'Reset' button is now in the dialog to allow you to reset to the default locations. - When you leave Magic Scout for Palm OS, the last open document is remembered, and returned to when you start Magic Scout again. If you install a new database though, it will start from the card list. V1.09, Feb. 9, 04: - Fixed a bug with 'OR'ed casting cost searches ('match any colors'), where incorrect results could be generated in combination with other non-color constraints. V1.08, Feb. 7, 04: - On Palm devices which report back more than one media expansion slot, the database installation could fail. - Fixed the bug where leaving the Search window up, and performing some system operations (such as app switching, system find, or syncing), could cause an infinite loop as Magic Scout cycled between search windows. - Made the 'Refine search' button in the result window return to the last search pane (if any) that you had been in prior. - Fixed a bug where installation of generated databases on some devices with certain kinds of media slots could fail, due to the 'slot name' not being available. V1.07, Feb. 6, 04: - Added a new card type: Token, for Token creature cards (they are in the database). - There were a few crash-searches and poorly categorized cards. These have been 'bullet-proofed' and corrected. For example, searching for all Arabian Nights cards, and paging to the second page. V1.06, Feb. 6, 04: - FINALLY fixed the install bug some users were having with getting both the program and build databases installed to their devices. This didn't happen to all users, and tended to happen with users having more than one Palm user in their setup. We think this is now fixed for good... please let us know if you see otherwise. - You can double click on the Palm users initially, as well as choosing and clicking OK. V1.05, Feb. 5, 2004: - Fixed a bug in the installation process which caused the Palm file installation (for program and generated databases) to fail on newer Palm device, such as the Tungstens. - Replaced the '2004_02_02' database build with '2004_02_04', which has the corrected Darksteel cards. Prior, some Darksteel cards did not have their complete card text. Users should download, generate, and install this new data set. V1.04, Feb. 4, 2004: - Fixed a bug where searching on darksteel cards would not work. Any search which resulted in the inclusion of a Darksteel card would generate a Fatal Exception. - Added 'Enchant equipment' as a new card type, from Darksteel. - The new www.MagicScout.com web site is now up and ready for viewing (with the exception of purchasing and downloading the program). Comments welcome. - Changed the Search 'Subtype' constraint name to 'Card mask', so that it is not confused with the official MTG rules term 'subtype'. V1.03, Feb. 2, 2004: - Enhanced our download feature to allow the downloads to come from one of several different DeepNet-hosted web sites. This should distribute the load on our servers, given the expected high-volume of Magic database downloads. - Fixed small bug where the main table of contents page text at the bottom had some words without spaces between them. - Added a heading to the Rules page, and link back to the Card listing. - Fixed a recently introduced bug where the settings were not saved properly. - Replaced the '2004_02_02' database build online with '2004_02_03', which removed the duplicate reprint cards from Dark Steel: Juggernaut, and Fireball. - Fixed a bug where the card price line were frequently duplicated for certain cards. V1.02, Jan 31, 2004: - The game class search was not working at all. Added banned cards from the various formats as well. - Optimized search execution times on word searches significantly. - Some of the 'database types' for the Magic Scout databases were incorrect. This would cause left over large databases after you delete the application. You should completely delete Magic Scout from your handheld prior to installing this new version, and double check that there are no 'MagicScout' databases left in memory before reinstalling. - Searching by card set was not working properly for all sets. - Added 'Card information' dialog. When a card is displayed, an additional icon is displayed to the right (a card with a question mark in it). Tapping on this will bring up extra information on the card, not shown in the main window display (such as the valid game formats). - Creatures cards with 'special' toughness and/or power were not categorized properly for searching. - Some searches could return results even though they should not. This could happen if more than one search constraint was specified, and the last one produced no results on it's own, but the former ones did. - Added 'History' button in the 'Search Words' window pane. The 'H' button can be tapped to bring up a history of prior entered search word entries. The last 30 word text entries are saved (after executing a search). - Added 'Word list' button to the 'Search Words' window pane. The 'W' button can be tapped to bring up a list of common Magic(tm) search words. The list is initially populated with a set of default terms. The words in each word search you complete are added to the word list. 50 words are maintained, with the least used removed first. Selected words are added to the end of the current word search text. - Published a new database build '2004_02_02' that includes the Dark Steel card set. - Removed the March timebomb in the product. 1.02 will work indefinitely. But, the shareware 'nags' are now enabled. You must enter your temporary registration code to avoid the product nag resets. The temporary code will last two weeks from entry, giving you time to test the application. Please contact us if you haven't received your temporary code yet: info@magicscout.com. V1.01, Jan. 30, 2004: - The Card Rarity column was displayed incorrectly in the search results. - Added a new rarity 'Fixed': used for cards in constructed decks/sets. This is a new rarity, that you can search on. Since all cards in fixed decks/sets were also in regular sets, the cards are still searchable by their original rarity. - Added two new icons in the main view: Previous and Next Search result (magnifying glasses with arrows). They appear once you complete a search, and select a result document. Use these buttons to move to the previous or next result without returning to the search result list. - Made Palm user selection dialog select the first entry by default. - Changed the names of the generated databases to be unique and easy to spot: 'MagicScountGen*'. The others should be left in main memory. V1.0, Jan. 2004: - Initial release.
